OUR STORY
Sophia and Luka met on a beautiful sunny day doing what they love the most – eating ajvar and sipping mimosas. They shared their first kiss at the Lincoln Memorial, where Luka proposed one year later.
Sophia
Sophia is a public servant who was born and raised in Tampa, Florida with her mom Holly and dad Bernd. She traded Florida’s heat and humidity for Massachusetts’s colorful seasons when she attended Wellesley College. While completing her graduate degree at Georgetown, Sophia not only fell in love with Luka because of his good looks, but also because of his stellar cooking.
Luka
Luka is an ambitious young man who hails from Zagreb, Croatia with his mama Vanja, tata Milko, and seka Bruna. He first came to the United States in 2016 to experience the culture shock of college in Indiana. During his graduate degree at Georgetown, Luka fell in love with Sophia, not only because she is the cutest girl, but also because she has the kindest soul.

Air
Split Airport (SPU) – We recommend flying to Split, as this international airport is connected to all major European cities. Once you arrive to Split, you can take a taxi/Uber/Lyft to the ferry port in Split.
Zagreb Airport (ZAG) – The Zagreb international airport has plenty of connecting flights from the United States through Munich, Frankfurt, Zurich, Paris, London, etc. After you arrive in Zagreb, you can either drive to Brač (4 hours via A1 highway), fly directly to Brač via Croatia Airlines (flights leave Wednesdays and Saturdays), or take a bus (~7 hours).
Brač Airport (BWK) – The Brač airport is a small local airport serving flights from Zagreb, Munich, Linz, and several other smaller cities. The airport is located in the middle of the island, and flights operate Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Dubrovnik Airport (DBV) – The Dubrovnik airport has direct flights from the United States, and there is a 3-hour scenic drive in between Dubrovnik and the ferry port in Split.
-
Land
We recommend renting a car if you would like to spend additional time in Croatia or exploring Brač. All major U.S. car rental agencies operate in Croatia (ex. Avis, Budget, Hertz, etc.)
We recommend this taxi company on Brač, as Uber/Lyft are not available: www.taxi-supetar-
Transportation to and from the Grand Hotel View will be provided on the day of the wedding.

ACCOMODATION
The most important gift to us is having you share in our special day.
But if you wish to contribute in some other way, we would love a few pennies to put in our pot, for our honeymoon trip after tying the knot!
Najvažniji dar za nas je da podijelite s nama naš poseban dan.
No, ako želite doprinijeti na neki drugi način, donirati u fond za medeni mjesec je najbolji začin.
